Journalism
Justin King has reported from protests and riots all over the country. His investigations uncovered the link between Abu Grahib torture and the beheadings of servicemen and civilians in Iraq. He broke the story of the alleged use of heroin during interrogations by Chicago Police in Homan Square.
Justin currently serves as the Editor of The Fifth Column, The Pontiac Tribune, Sleeper Cells, and is an outside adviser to Greed Media.
Activism
When he isn't reporting the news, he's trying to make his own. He made international news when he volunteered to undergo waterboarding as part of the national day against torture organized by fellow journalist Derrick Broze.
He's participated and organized police accountability marches, defended mosques from bigots, participated in actions from Flint to Florida, and organized a protest at the Saudi Embassy in Washington, DC in support of imprisoned blogger Raif Badawi.
From Justin
One of the first things I hear from people when they find out I'm a journalist is a complaint about the news. It never ceases to amaze me.
Contrary to popular belief, I don't make the news I report on. People like you do. If you don't like the current state of the world or the news that flows across your newsfeed, you can change it. You can act locally within your community to alter the course of events all over the world.
